The grain bag unloader is the most efficient way to transfer grain
The grain bag unloader is the
most efficient way to transfer grain

The Richiger grain bag unloader is not only cost effective it is the easiest quickest most efficient method yet devised to transfer grain from the bag to the grain truck. With a massive work capacity the Richiger Grain Bag Unloader can remove up to 180 tons an hour from the grain bag. (tonnage per hour may vary according to the type and condition of the grain).

The Grain Bag Unloader is simple to operate and requires only a single operator to do everything from set-up to loading grain trucks. The controls are contained within the bag unloader structure so levers are at your fingertips.

Even height regulation is easy with the lift mechanisms hydraulically controlled. The three point flow diversion valve selects the hydraulic circuit being used.

The Grain Bag Unloader is easy to move from bag to bag or from field to field. The unit features an easy-to-use self-trailering system where the machine converts from working configuration to trailering configuration with no wheel rotation and just the manipulation of a few simple mechanisms.

Grain Bag Unloader Operation

To unload the grain bag, the sweeping screws are adjusted to fit the diameter. Sections of the grain sweeping screw can be added or removed to accomplish the proper fit with the bag. The screw auger gear case uses bevel gears in an oil bath to ensure smooth operation.

The bag is fitted over the take-in roller and pierced with the protruding studs to ensure a proper grip. The roller reduction gear case, attached to the end of the roller provides a sturdy and failure proof system to augment power. A variable flow valve controls the speed of the bag take-in roller and as the bag is advanced the bag cutter flows free to slash the plastic. The slash allows the bag to pass by the screw auger that elevates the product to the truck box.

In the work position, with the tractors gear shift in neutral, the hydraulic system and the PTO are engaged, allowing the automatic advance of the unloader-tractor unit (utilizing the filled portion of the bag as an anchor) until the bag is emptied. When the weight in the bag reduces to below the combined weight of the tractor and the bagger, the take-in roller moves the bag forward to finish the unloading process.

At the same time the unloaders hydraulically driven roller is providing traction for the unloading maneuver, the bag gathering roller is simultaneously folding and gathering the plastic sheet in an orderly manner as the bag is being emptied. This helps prevent accidents ( e.g. operator tripping) and, once the grain extraction is completed, the roller is disengaged and allowed to counter-rotate freely with the tractor advancing slowly allowing release of the plastic sheet.
