Wheat-Belt Industries carries a complete line of TYM small 4 wheel drive tractors from just above the lawn tractor size up to a full size utility tractor. Compact Tractor Classes

Considering your acreage size can help you decide the appropriately sized tractor, but what you do on that acreage is the most important factor. Tractors are classified by horsepower and the work they are capable of doing. A breakdown of tractors might look something like this:

1. Lawn and Garden Tractor
   Used for grass cutting and associated tasks on lots up to 1 acre.
2. Sub-compact Tractor
   Small tractor required if you are moving dirt. Typically 18-23 hp.
3. Compact Tractor
   Often featuring 4 wheel drive, in the 18-30 hp range.
4. Utility Tractors
   Llikely required if you care for livestock. 30-60 hp, used for moving round bales, lifting loads up to 1000 lb., has sufficient clearance for loading a manure spreader or a 3 tonne truck.
5. Agriculture Utility Tractors
   Up to 100 hp., load large trucks, put up hay, large round bales, power to drive a baler, and mower/conditioners - large acreages and small scale farming

TYM Compact Tractors at Wheat-Belt

Wheat-Belt TYM tractors all come with diesel engines and 4 wheel drive. Size recommendations are: 23-27HP usually for 2-5 acres, 33-40HP for 10 acres and up, and 45-70HP for 60 acres and up. New this summer, Wheat-Belt offers 90 & 100HP tractors.

4WD and Diesel on all TYM Compact Tractors

The TYM tractors all use 4 wheel drive with the ability to disengage the front axle for operation on firm ground. This ensures that TYM tractors can provide excellent traction and high lugging capacity as well as good mobility and remarkable strength under any working conditions. Hydrostatic power steering using a separate hydraulic pump ensures smooth and effortless control of the tractor at all times. All models (except the T330 and lower) have a multi speed PTO with electro hydraulic engagement making it a versatile unit for a wide range of agricultural and horticultural applications which require powerful output, rapid torque recovery and durability.

(The T233, T330 & T273 have a single speed PTO and the T330HST has a single rear and a single mid-mounted PTO)

On the safety side, a low centre of gravity allows it to operate safely in steep country and the ROPS frame or ROPS certified cab together with seat belts for the driver provide driver protection in the event of a mishap.

Further safety protection is provided by some of the best wet disc brakes in the business.

TYM cabs of course provide the ultimate in driver comfort and even the ROPS frame can be fitted with an optional canopy to keep the elements at bay.
